We worked with UKTI, then DIT, now DBT over several years to create its first content strategy, build content design capability in the organisation and resource a team of content designers to build up a personalised education platform for businesses learning to export.

  • As UKTI became a government department in 2016, it needed a content strategy to achieve consistency and make better use of user insights to create effective campaigns.

    As the needs of the department grew, the website needed to become more sophisticated to keep pace. It needed to upskill the in-house team of content designers, while also creating quality content at scale.

  • To help improve the quality of their content, we first created a content strategy which outlined the creation process, publishing channels and content lifecycle.

    We upskilled the in-house team to understand how and why content is commissioned, created, distributed and managed. We also trained their team to write quality content focused on user needs. They were then able to use this information to shape future content.

    Finally we resourced in a team of highly experienced and motivated content designers to work on Great.gov.uk, a platform that helps businesses learn how to expert. These content designers created user-focused content to help the UK’s target of increasing exports.

  • We created the department’s first content strategy, which was well adopted.

    Our writing for the web training was delivered to over 100 people across the organisation.
